Phil has over 25 years’ experience in the tobacco industry, mainly focusing his efforts in Southeast Asia. As an independent consultant for Tobacco Associates since 1996, Phil has applied his unique knowledge of Southeast Asian business culture to identify and establish personal relationships with prospective customers for TA.
Beginning with a small factory in Vietnam, he helped coordinate and implement TA’s initial product development activities, which over time expanded to other major manufacturers in Vietnam and the region. Phil has utilized his vast knowledge of US flue-cured tobacco and blend development to help elevate the quality of cigarette products in Vietnam and other Asian markets. Most recently, Phil assisted in the development of a new brand in Vietnam that has reached the top of its market segment in an unprecedented time period.
Today, Phil’s primary responsibility and focus remains the Southeast Asia region, but he also assists TA with promotions worldwide.
